About Me

 I’m an Exercise Physiologist with a specialisation in Clinical Exercise Physiology, passionate about helping individuals improve their health, movement, and quality of life. With a holistic and evidence-based approach, I collaborate with other health professionals to deliver personalised care that supports both body and mind. Together, we create strategies that are tailored, sustainable, and empowering.

Academic Background and Specializations

My academic journey began with a BSc in Sports Science & Physical Education from the University of Athens in Greece, where I specialized in Exercise and Health. This specialization allowed me to explore the underlying pathophysiological mechanisms of chronic conditions such as cardiovascular and respiratory diseases, cancer, obesity, hypertension, autoimmune diseases, and diabetes. In 2014, I pursued an MSc in Applied Exercise Physiology, focusing my research on the physiological impacts of alternative aerobic exercise regimens on peri-menopausal women.

Professional Experience and Research

After completing my studies, I gained valuable experience working within the NHS, specifically in the cardiac and respiratory physiology departments. My work here, combined with over a decade of research, has focused on alternative exercise modalities for clinical and elderly populations. Additionally, I have investigated the physiological aspects of athletes, particularly concerning underlying eating disorders. My findings have been published in high-quality, peer-reviewed journals, contributing to a greater understanding of these complex issues.

Recent Endeavors and Holistic Approach

In May 2025, I completed my PhD exploring a novel resistance training method shown to benefit mood and cognition—especially in individuals who struggle with high-load exercise. This research reinforced my passion for holistic health. To support my clients more fully, I also trained as a Nutrition Advisor, Behaviour Change Coach, and completed a course in counselling to address both physical and emotional well-being.
